Chemical properties:

Soluble in water and alcohol. Aqueous solution is strongly basic. When acid breaks down, hydrogen sulfide is formed. Industrial products are generally solution, orange or yellow, bitter taste. Deliquescent, hygroscopic, soluble in water and ethanol. When heated in dry air, it turns yellow and orange, and appears black when melting. It is dissolved in HCl and produces H2S, and the reaction is intense. Easy deliquescence, hygroscopic, easy oxidation, preservation often release hydrogen sulfide and sulfur.
