Sodium sulfide (Na2S), also known as smelly alkali, sulphide stone, sodium sulfide, smelly soda. Anhydrous pure products are equiaxed white crystals. Corrosive and deliquescent; Soluble in water, the solution is alkaline; Acid decomposition produces hydrogen sulfide; Easy to oxidize in air.
